mind games
Belphie ^
When we got home, everything was normal. Belphie hopped onto the couch and laid down. Glancing down at my watch, I checked that it was almost time to feed Belphie. Looking back up, I screamed. Eyes bulging out of its sockets started at me. Lips pulled back to reveal no teeth and a too big head cocked sideways. Its entire body was as red as wine. Gaping at the saliva drooling out of its toothless mouth, I was filled with extreme disgust and fear. I had never seen something so disgusting. This was a demon and it had to be killed.
Suddenly, it barked, the same squeaky bark as Belphie's, and came sprinting at me. Breaking out of my shock, I ran. Terrified, I searched for my phone, desperate to call 911. Instead, I found a knife. Holding the knife towards the creature, it paused. I was forced to see its ugly eyes again, and realized the entirety of its bulging eyes had turned pitch black. A red, thick liquid oozed from its right eye, pooling onto the floor. I had to kill it. I had to kill it. I had to kill it. Raising my knife, I couldn't breathe. I shut my eyes and lowered the knife, feeling the blade sink into flesh. Relief coursed through my veins as I realized this nightmare was over. Opening my eyes, I stared at the red knife sticking out of Belphie's white, white fur.
